Calf huts for group housing help farmers to accommodate their calves from the age of two weeks. PATURA's product range includes two different versions of the so-called calf huts for group housing. One version of the calf huts is made of robust and durable plastic (HDPE). The second version of the calf huts is made of GRP. Both forms can protect up to 5 calves at the same time from rain as well as excessive sunlight. The smooth surfaces of the calf huts are ideal for thorough and hygienic cleaning.

As an extension to the calf hut, a fence can be attached to all variants of the PATURA calf huts. Depending on the version, this enclosure has two side partitions including an access door as well as a feeding fence with at least 5 feeding places, to which a feeding trough and a teat bucket mounting set can be attached. Further accessories such as a hay rack or feeding bowls can be easily attached to the fencing.

Calf huts for group housing can be used not only indoors but also outdoors. If the farmer decides in favour of a calf hut with fencing, he decides at the same time in favour of more animal welfare due to a larger space available, visual contact to the neighbouring groups and a choice between 2 climate zones: the covered calf hut and fencing under the open sky.
