Feeding of concentrate feed in the stable

In suckler cow farming, the milk production of breeds that have a high daily weight gain is insufficient to maximise the full growth potential of the calves. It is recognised that it is much more efficient to provide concentrate directly to the calves than to provide the same feed to raise the milk production of the cows. So that only certain animals take this feed, a selective access system to the concentrate has to be arranged.

The PATURA Concentrate Feeder can be mounted onto dividers and thus enables the targeted feeding of calves in the calf creep, for example. The roof can be opened in two directions for this purpose and the feed is filled from above. Thanks to an adjustable opening the dosage can be precisely adapted to the feed and the animals.
