By operating the supply lever several times, the animals pump themselves water from depths of up to 7 m into the drinking bowl. The animals learn to operate the pasture pump very quickly. One pump supplies approx. 15 – 20 animals. In the suckler cow mod., the cow pumps the water for the calf. The small drinking bowl at the side is specially designed to suit the mouths of calves. Water constantly flows out of the main bowl, whose size fits larger animals, into the small drinking bowl.
